The Independent FilmFest Osnabrück is one of the best-established and most renowned film festivals in Lower Saxony, Germany. Each year it offers independently produced films from all over the world, that are engaged in social matters. In spite of its distinct choice of social relevant movies, done with the help of civic involvement, the FilmFest is a festival for broad audiences. Each year, the FilmFest awards five prizes, in total worth 19,000 Euros.
