Wild Roses /Stockholm Impact Award

Ant!pode is proud to inform, that film «Wild Roses», directed by Anna Jadowska became winner of the Stockholm Impact Award at The Stockholm International Film Festival.

The Impact jury consisted of Suzanne Osten, Ester Martin Bergsmark and Alexandru Solomon. Their motivation reads:

for the sensitive depiction of a mother who refuses to abandon her true self,
for the portrait of a revolting child that questions an utterly conservative society,
for the visually exquisite style that contrasts with a world plunged in prejudice and moral coercion, the Stockholm Impact Award goes to Anna Jadowska for Wild Roses, a metaphor for human resilience.

The Award, which was handed out by Vice Mayor Roger Mogert, consists of a piece designed by world-renowned artist Ai Weiwei and one million Swedish kronor meant to encourage the production of the director’s next feature.

The Award ceremony was held on Wednesday, November 15 at 4.30 p.m. in Foajé 3, at the Stockholm House of Culture.
