Ivan Kachalin
Russian director of fiction and documentary films, actor and TV presenter. Born in 1996 in Moscow. Graduated from the Moscow Institute of Television and Radio Broadcasting “OSTANKINO” (workshop of Vladimir Khotinenko and Sebastian Alarcon).
In 2016, the participant and laureate of the VI International Film Festival of Action and Horror Films “DROP” – an award in the nomination “Best Short Film” for the film “The Seventh Sin.
He played one of the main roles in the horror film of the Italian director Andreas Marfori “The Quest of Fear”, and also played one of the roles in Sebastian Alarcon’s latest film “The Oppositionist”.
In 2019, for the documentary film “27 Second Memory”, dedicated to the tragic events at Dubrovka, he was awarded the “SLON” Guild of Film Critics’ Guild at the XXV Stalker International Film Festival. Human rights activist and writer Alexey Simonov compared the film to a one-man picket during the awards ceremony at the Central House of Cinema.
