Sergey Potapov

Born in 1975 in Suntar village, Yakutia. In 1996 he graduated from Yakut Republic Culture and Arts College’s theatre studio, a drama theatre actor. In 2003 he graduated from the Russian Theatre Academy, Directing Department. Holder of “Golden Mask” – National Theatrical Award, a participant of the XV International theatre festival of experimental theatres (Cairo, Egypt), “Novaya russkaya volna (“New Russian Wave”)” international project with a play “Mechta mira (“World Dream”)”, a participant of the XXIX Moscow International Film Festival in the Nomination “Perspective”, the IVth IFF of the Asia-Pacific countries (Vladivostok), “Kinoshok” IFF (Anapa), IFF in Gothenburg (Sweden) and “ImagineNATIVE” in Toronto (Canada). The film “Snowdrops” is a holder of the prize for the “Best Directing” and the “Best Actor” at the Cheboksary International Film Festival (2013).
