Charlie Petersmann

Was born in 1984 in Geneva (Switzerland). He did an apprenticeship as a builder. After spending 6 months in Canada for a training as DOP he studied one year visual arts in Geneva. In 2007 he moved to Berlin to study film directing at the ‘Deutsche Film-und Fernsehakademie’ (dffb), German film and television academy. In 2013 he comes back in Switzerland and directs his first length feature documentary “Cantos” which has been screened in many festivals all around the world and won many prices.
