Gørild Mauseth

The Norwegian star Gørild Mauseth got her breakthrough as an actress with the monologue Out of moonlight nothing will grow at Den Nationale Scene in Bergen. Her temperament and background from the High North of Norway and her exceptional dramatic talent has since then taken her to major roles at Nationalteatret, as well as in many movies like Telegrafisten (debut), Cabin Fever and Burnt By Frost, f or which she received the Norwegian Oscar, the Amanda Committee Debutant Award in 1998. Mauseth was nominated to ShootingStar in 2001, and she won the BlueBird price for best radio theatre performance for the Lady from the sea.
In 2012, her Riksteatret’s production of Anna Karenina sold over 24.000 tickets across the country.
In 2013 the play was set up at Gorky Drama Theater in Vladivostok with Mauseth as the lead character again. I n fall 2017, NRK, the main norwegian TVchannel, will premiere the dramaseries Monster with Mauseth as a lead.
