Anton Bilzho

director, screenwriter and production director

Anton was born in 1978 in Moscow. He studied in the Moscow State University (Journalism Faculty) and the High Courses for Scriptwriters and Film Directors (workshop of Vladimir Khotinenko, Pavel Finn and Vladimir Fenchenko). He worked as a TV journalist (Vacationers show on TV-6), as a journalist in the periodicals Russki Telegraf, Kommersant and Gazeta. He won the Facultet Prize for Short Proze. He authored the novel A Capsule for Copywriters, published in 2015 by RIPOL Classic Publishers.

For a long time, he worked as copywriter for the McCann Erickson advertisement agency. Since 2012, he directed TV commercials. He wrote scripts and acted as director of several short films that took part in many festivals. He also authored scripts for several full-length films. His script Nebuchadnezzar’s Attractions was published in the Iskusstvo Kino magazine in March 2012. The project of a full-length film Dream Fish won the Second pitching of débutants, was selected by the P.O.V. Foundation of Support for the Film Projects (Sergey Selyanov’s Foundation) and by the experts of the German pitching in Kottbus.
